Ember ("the app", "we") is built privacy-first. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
Ember does not collect, transmit, or share your personal data. Everything you enter — the tasks you're avoiding, the feelings you name, your streak and history — is stored only on your device. We have no servers that receive your content, no account system, and no analytics or tracking in the current version.
This data never leaves your phone. You can erase all of it at any time in Settings → Reset all data, or by uninstalling the app.
If you enable the optional daily reminder, it is scheduled locally on your device. No reminder data is sent anywhere.
Subscriptions (Ember Plus) are processed by Google Play Billing. Ember never sees or stores your payment details. Google's handling of that information is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
A planned Ember Plus feature offers AI-assisted task breakdowns. If you use it, the text of the task you choose to break down would be sent to a processing service solely to generate steps, then discarded. This feature is not active in the current version. If it ships, this policy and the Play "Data safety" form will be updated before release, and it will remain optional.
Ember is intended for adults (18+). It is not directed at children.
Ember is a supportive productivity and wellbeing tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition, including ADHD.
